Child Safety Standards

CityWatch is a civic problem-reporting app intended for users aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page describes the standards and measures we apply to keep our service safe, in line with Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy.

1. Zero-tolerance policy

• Content or conduct that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children is strictly prohibited on CityWatch.
• The creation, upload, sharing, or solicitation of CSAM or CSAE content is forbidden and will result in immediate removal, account termination, and reporting to the appropriate authorities.
• CityWatch is not directed at children and does not knowingly allow accounts for anyone under 18.

2. How users can report a concern

Any user can report inappropriate content or a child safety concern without leaving the app:

• Open the in-app menu and choose Report, then select the “Child safety” reason and submit the details.
• Or email us directly at help@citywatch.live.

We review reports of child safety concerns as a priority and act on them promptly.

3. Our response and moderation

• We moderate user-generated content (reports, photos, videos, comments) and remove violating content.
• Confirmed CSAE/CSAM is removed, the responsible account is banned, and the incident is reported to the relevant national authorities and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable.
• We cooperate with law enforcement in accordance with applicable law.

4. Legal compliance

CityWatch complies with applicable child safety laws and provides mechanisms for users and authorities to report violations. We follow the Google Play Child Safety Standards requirements.
